We are saddened about the unfortunate events that transpired last night. Our hearts are with victim and everyone affected. The safety of our festival patrons is of the utmost priority.
The Chile & Frijoles Festival has always been a community event that we want families to feel comfortable attending. We will continue to have security and Pueblo Police presence throughout the festival footprint as we plan to reopen today at 10am.
Today’s festival events including Chili & Salsa Showdown, the dedication of Chile tribute to Rod Slyhoff and Jalapeno Eating contest will continue as planned.
